About us

Pegassi Club is more than a destination, it is a philosophy. For over 85 years, we have served as a private cornerstone for some of Britain’s most influential families and rising visionaries. Founded in 1937 by a coalition of financiers, engineers, and arts patrons, many of whom were instrumental in shaping pre-war British industry, Pegassi quickly became a discreet yet vital part of national social life.

Today, while the world modernises, Pegassi retains its commitment to timeless values: intelligent conversation, artistic support, and refined hospitality. Our facilities include a private cellar, secluded reading rooms, fine dining suites, and landscaped grounds designed for tranquillity, all maintained to the highest standards.

Membership remains by invitation only, with referrals required and waiting lists closely managed by the Board. Pegassi is not a place to be seen. It is a place to belong, quietly, securely, and with legacy in mind.

Culture

You will At Pegassi Club, culture is not a performance, it is a lived tradition.

Rooted in over eight decades of heritage, the Club’s ethos reflects a uniquely British balance of intellectual pursuit, quiet elegance, and unwavering discretion. Here, conversation is valued over spectacle, and character weighs more than credentials. Members are united not by industry, fame, or fortune—but by shared values: a respect for history, a curiosity for the world, and a preference for excellence over excess.

Pegassi fosters a culture of thoughtful exchange, whether in the drawing room over rare whisky, in our classical music salons, or during spirited debates in the Library on matters ranging from art to aviation. Many of our members are leaders in their respective fields, yet the Club maintains a resolutely unpretentious air, where reputation is earned through grace, not grandeur.

Mentorship, legacy, and contribution are quietly celebrated within our walls. From longstanding family memberships to emerging patrons of the arts and sciences, Pegassi remains a meeting place for generations who shape and preserve culture, without ever needing to advertise it.

To belong to Pegassi is to embrace a lifestyle where privacy is prized, taste is timeless, and relationships are forged not over transactions, but trust.
